An anti-Muslim activist has been arrested for posting a provocative statement on Facebook about Burma's army commander and the country's de facto leader, Aung San Suu Kyi, the head of a Buddhist nationalist group and a human rights lawyer said Thursday.
Nay Myo Wai, of Yangon based Peace and Diversity Party, was arrested Wednesday after a complaint was filed against him for a Facebook posting falsely claiming that army commander Min Aung Hliang had not seized power because he wanted to marry Suu Kyi.

The content of your blog is short yet able to convey the thought that you are trying to deliver. I think that arresting Nay Myo Wai is a bit over the top. I think the punishment is harsh and the person could have been given a lighter one. For example, a public apology and suspension on duty would have suffice. However, I do not live in Thailand so I do not have a clear idea of the laws there.

Thanks for your comment. The main point of of the Post was that Thailand's military government was highly criticized for arresting people for comments on Facebook, but Suu Kyi continues to get Human Rights awards when her Government does the same thing.
